Shaping Democracy: Thought Leadership in Transatlantic Relations

We have a responsibility to protect democracy.

What I love to do? This: Curating and hosting roundtable discussions with remarkable thought leaders from across the globe – Americans, Europeans, Germans – for a real transatlantic dialogue to promote democracy.

Our mission to connect, inspire, and promote democracy became vividly real when we brought together a distinguished group of thought leaders to explore the impacts of the 2024 election outcomes on the future of U.S. and European foreign policy, international security, and global diplomacy. On the occasion of the 60th Munich Security Conference, this engaging conversation underscored that:

It's up to us, that is is our responsibility to safeguard democracy.

The transatlantic relationship needs support to help solve these critical issues. The relationship is a two-way street, requiring ongoing friendship and collaboration across the Atlantic.

But the relationship can also start on the smallest scale. Our key takeaway?

The future is ours to shape, and it’s our responsibility to build it.

Special thanks to:

  • Ben Rhodes, Former Deputy National Security Advisor to President Obama, for his personal remarks, insights and commitment,

  • Karen Donfried, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, for a frank look at the state of the transatlantic relationship and

  • Eva Maydell, for her insights as an elected European leader

and to all our guests for their valuable contributions and engaging discussion!
